OOD 3.30.09 Blush & Brown, Pearls & Python

Today I think we may have sunshine!  We had a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the kids were actually able to get outside on their bikes... so it might not be unreasonable to think today could be pretty too, right?

So I am forgoing my "dress against the weather" technique and wearing soft, earthy colors:  my subtle "warm blush" J Crew tissue ruffle cardi and a brown tank - and adding some python print ballet flats and my F21 cheapy-cheap but oh-so-fab pink pearls!  The shoes are different than pictured in the Polyvore below - they are Isaac Mizrahi for Target from last year and are closed toe ballet flats with a little bow.   Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

  1. I absolutely LOVE this outfit. I wanted to know more about the shoes you were describing your post. Are they still available at Target? Any more "earthy color" outfits that you have put together? Love your blog!! BTW---I am a mom to a wonderful two year old boy, a wife, and I am a teacher. We live in MA. I am new to all of this "blogging" but loving yours, especially.

  4. thanks Gigi!

Heidi - me too... but it looks like he is doing great things at LC!

Mrs Anketell - thank you so much for the sweet compliment! These are from a good year ago and Isaac isn't designing for Target any more so I don't think you'll find these there... possibly on ebay? ... they are called the Anna shoe and they also came in another animal print and possibly solids. I love browns and ivories, so I will be doing more earthy colors soon... there are some outfits on Polyvore you may like which you can see if you click on the link above my blog archive. btw, I spent a year in MA and loved it there! Cold winters though! :)

  5. I am totally wearing that necklace right now! I came accross your blog through JCA and I just love your style! Way to pair great, high quality pieces with "cheapy" but pretty accessories and basics. I too shop at F21, Target, etc. for little extras and I love to go to Old Navy for simple basics (their camis and tees are perfect for my budget). Keep doing what you do!
