When I saw this Merona Collection sweater it made me think of the Cotton Cricket Cardigan ($78.00) in J Crew's current collection. It is by no means a replica... just sort of the same general feeling... though I would say dressier/more "workplace". I think you could pretty easily put either with the same separates/accessories. The Merona Collection Color Blocked Sweater - Navy ($29.99) is a thin knit, but not sheer, and has a nice long silhouette & classic look. It's rayon/cotton/nylon and machine washable. I would say it's a nice deal at this price, although I do prefer the Cricket as I generally dress pretty casually.

The Merona one actually looks more J. Crew than the J. Crew one. WOW! It reminds me of the sweaters I loved that they used to produce back in the '90s!

ReplyDeletethanks all! If I get J Crew's version (I would wait for a sale) I won't get this... but it *would* go nicely with some other pieces in the Merona Collection so if I get those, I may :) The knit did feel very nice on - like 100% cotton - and you can't beat machine washable!
