Today's Target Find {sparkly earrings}

After a long while of not really seeing anything in the Target jewelry department, I'm starting to find some things again. I recently came home with these sparklers for under $8.:

215012637 Earring Crystal/116589

All these jumbled, "pearl" and clear faceted "stone" with antique-y looking metal pieces are reminding me of things we've been seeing at places like J Crew for awhile now. Nice to see this look at such great price points.

Today's Target Find {Alfred Hitchcock}

Sometimes (especially with the dreary weather this time of year), I find myself in the mood for a fire, my cozy couch and a little Alfred Hitchcock suspense.

This weekend I came across this dvd set at Target - and while I don't like the idea of collecting piles of discs with all the easy ways to watch movies On Demand, on iPad, etc etc - I just couldn't pass this up for $2.00. Yes, two dollars -- less than half the price of the venti nonfat cinammon dolce latte I was holding in my other hand.

I don't see this one online, but I do see a four disc set (available only in stores) that says "20 Movie Classics" (mine has ten). The two disc set I have has an approximate runtime of 12 hours and 28 minutes and features:

The Chaney Vase, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Blackmail, Champagne (silent), The Farmer's Wife (silent), The Lady Vanishes, The Manxman (silent), Rich and Strange, Secret Agent, and The Thirty-Nine Steps.

...I also came across some sparkly and nicely-priced earrings. Review on those up next.

Hope everyone's starting out a great week.

J Crew Factory {40% off} {Again}

Happy Friday!

Well, J Crew has done it again... another additional 40% off sale and I haven't even received my order from the last additional 40% off. It has me wondering if they are going to continue running these promos fairly frequently or just really need to move some inventory right now...

Code is MUSTHAVE. Free shipping on orders $100+. Interestingly, my email says "shop until Sunday midnight ET", but the fine print says the offer is valid through Wednesday, January 26th 11:59 ET.

1% cash back through ebates right now.

At any rate, I'm not shopping this one, as things look pretty much the same as last weekend. I am really liking the soft blues and aquas and stripes online right now... Here's what I have due to arrive early next week... reviews to follow. (Pay no attention to those prices listed below - with the promo and free shipping the whole order came out under $120 + tax.)

Kendra Scott Earrings {Rena and Trista}

I've been a fan of Kendra Scott jewelry since my Danielle earrings arrived this past June. Last month another pair arrived that I ordered during a promo (the Rena) and then I also received a pair from my parents for Christmas (the Trista Chain Swag Chandelier -- which I wore both Christmas Day and New Year's Eve). Love.

By the way, I did get in a little bit of trouble for putting "Kendra Scott Jewelry" on my Christmas list and then ordering myself a pair of earrings right after, but luckily they were not the same. Here they are:

The Rena Linear Pod Earrings in Emerald Green:

On the website, it's fun to play designer on the Color Bar, and there are some great Daily Deal discounts to be found. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Boden Spring Picks

My Boden catalog just arrived and I love seeing the happy, bright prints on the happy, "vacation-taking" models. It has me dreaming of vacation myself. We recently booked some flights for Summer travel (including Italy, which I'm verrry excited about) and with that in mind, and pretty much just shopping my closet lately, I'm not looking too much at Fall or Winter clothing these days.

At first run-through, here are some of my favorites from the current catalog... (I also love these 70s Sunnies... if only they came in pink!)

The Pewter Pom Pom {Isabel Toledo for Payless}

Happy New Year!

A little before Christmas, I noticed this shoe in the Deals & Steals section of January's InStyle (p. 76). So cute... and, wait a minute - $35 from Payless?... so I thought I'd give them a try.

I ordered online (on sale for $24.99) and was not at all disappointed when I received them. They look as good irl as they did in the magazine.

The pom is faux fur and the shoe faux leather - but doesn't look fake at all to me. The metallic crackle texture is very well done.

The shoe is a little stiffer than what I usually wear (but lately my feet are used to Ugg slippers, Ugg boots, and the occasional Tory Burch Reva). A couple of strategically placed pieces of Dr. Scholl's cushion tape, and I was good to go. I am wearing my usual 8 1/2.

I saw these are also available in black, priced at $34.99.
