Back! {sort of}

We are back from Europe and I have quite a lot of (well over 1000) pictures to sort through and so many impressions and stories. I was able to get a little video of some of our crazy drives through Italy but haven't been able to successfully upload them yet. (Let me just say we were thankful we purchased the extra, full coverage insurance... and my husband must have nerves of steel because there were times, if I were driving, I would have wanted to just pull the car over, cry, and call the rental agency to come pick it up when they could.)

We're still on the East Coast, though, and heading to Florida today for a beach holiday with family... so it'll most likely be a week or so into August when we are back home in the Pacific Northwest before I can put together some posts.

For now, here's a quick Polyvore I put together since I was up before 5am and playing on the site a little this morning (jet lag not quite conquered yet).

Happy Monday!

Blogging from the Autostrada del Sole

As I write this my husband is driving us along the A1 from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast. We should have wifi at our destination to publish. :) I know I've only checked in once so far from Denmark, but I am able to get some tweets/twitpics in most days... so for more frequent updates, I'm at seaandtea on Twitter.

I will probably spend most of August blogging about our adventures from this trip. For now here are two pics, from Rome (Colosseum) and Montevarchi (Prada outlet):

At the Beach {Denmark}

We are out in the Danish countryside with dependable wifi for the moment, so I thought I would try out a blogging app from my iPad for a quick post.

We're having beautiful warm and sunny weather after just a little rain when we first arrived. We've been shopping on Stroget in Copenhagen - one of my must-dos when we visit... Found some great things at Zara and the department store Illum. Ilum has a Reiss section inside where I was able to check out one of Kate's lovely dresses (the tan one she wore when meeting the Obamas; they had UK 6 and 12 in stock as of Saturday)... And bought a great grey striped cotton/cashmere pullover - my first Reiss item.

I already have so many photos from Copenhagen, Trelleborg, family meals (the food here is amazing) and two trips to the beach. I will put together some more organized posts with pictures when I am back at a computer but for now I think I can figure out a quick check in now and then when I'm up early :) We have more adventures planned for today!

I hope everyone is starting out a wonderful week.

Modalu Markdowns

Modalu London is having a sale with markdowns up to 50% off. No Bristols/Pippas that I can find (not surprisingly)... but quite a few nice styles. I'm partial to these two:

Sardinia canvas shoulder bag with thick rope handles - in gold (also silver)
photo from modalu.com

Cindy canvas clutch with chain detail - in black (nougat, or silver too)
photo from modalu.com

Visit the Modalu site for better pics/other views and pricing information. When I ordered my Bristol/Pippa, worldwide shipping was around $25, and it arrived via US Postal Service, originating with Royal Mail in the UK. I did have to sign for it.

OPI Melon of Troy + BR Miracle {vacation pedicure}

I just got my vacation mani/pedi. Essie Mademoiselle for the manicure and OPI Melon of Troy for the pedicure:

I have on my new Miracle jeweled sandal in New caramel from Banana Republic. I love all the 3-hour sales they've been having lately. They usually don't include shoes in those but these got a promotional markdown not too long ago. I added in a black boatneck 3/4 sleeve tee from Old Navy, making my total over $50 and got free shipping too.

The Miracles are nicely padded and the caramel is a gorgeous soft neutral. I like the embellishment too. I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but the front straps on mine were quite different in width from each other up at the top. I'm going to look at it as "handcrafted".

My girls got pedicures today too. The pink is OPI Pompeii Purple and the purple is China Glaze Coconut Kiss. Both have a coat of OPI Techno (super glittery) over:

So I know I have been packing for a long while and I'm still here... but I have gotten to this point:

Look! I've saved a whole half a suitcase for my husband.
(He will throw some things in there 30 minutes before we leave for the airport.)

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
