Courtesy of the Mickey Card campaign ( btw I am done with that card, done!) I have lots of new J Crew pieces in my wardrobe to put together in outfits. On Friday I purchased the rosette tee, and the desert brown cardi recently arrived in the mail... they are great together so I'm just adding jeans and some gold sandals & gold earrings for today.
I don't have the Jack Rogers in the Polyvore but am looking at buying a pair after reading all the raves about them in blogland... so I've been putting them in some sets to help me decide. First, I must save up as J Crew has depleted my clothing fund for a bit!
Oh, except I may need to stop by Ann Taylor Loft tomorrow for one little Champagne cardi... their 30% off everything "Friends and Family" event starts then. Otherwise, I will be putting together outfits from my closet, and reviewing some of the items I am still waiting to receive from Red Phone orders... those are: the Misty Lavender Jackie, the Ruffle V-Neck in Heather Cloud, the Linen Getaway Skirt in Fresh Melon, and the Cate Patent Slingbacks in Soft Seashell. And I did bring home the "Claire" in Papaya yesterday too. I also need to get around to reviewing a couple great little Target skirts and put together a post on some scarf tying!
After spending a little time in my daughter's first grade class this morning, I will have a couple hours to get this house and my laundry baskets under control... so hopefully by the evening I can get another post or two up! Have a great Monday everyone! (Whew, last night's Celebrity Apprentice was a doozy, huh?)
oh my word I like this outfit. And I see that cutie little lavender coach bag over there.... could that be more you? :) Oh, and will you tell me if you like that French women book? Maybe i'll read it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lissa... I could totally see you in this outfit. The bag is on my "Mother's Day/Birthday wishlist" :) So far, love the book. I can't wait to make the grilled peaches w/rosemary. You can borrow after I'm done if you like!
ReplyDeleteLove the tee:) (esp. with the brown cardi) and I am excited to see your posts on the cute target skirts, haha:) oh and thanks for the info. on the AT Loft 30% ------i may have to run over there today!!
ReplyDeleteI love the rosette tee. I'm also looking forward to your Target & scarf posts. Have a good day :-)
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, i am coveting those patent slingbacks, as well.......can't wait to see all of your polyvore sets with all of your "crew" wear:)
ReplyDeleteI love this together. I like the look of Jack Rogers, but the sole runs pretty narrow. Have you looked at Stephen Bonnano? I need to do a post on them-- they are the original designers and the shoes are still hand made in FL. I'll get on that post. Anyways-- looking forward to you reviews!! Did you keep the white Rosette? I tried it on and didn't get it-- it's so sheer. But here I am still thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hmmmm... I haven't - there was a really heated discussion about JR vs. SB vs one other designer that makes those on a blog not too long ago... Nordstrom carries JR so I would be able to try those in person - I think I have to order otherwise... I never did get the white rosette - just the blush color. I am done shopping J Crew for awhile as next I want to buy some summer shoes, and Anthro jewelry next month w/my birthday discount. Kate Spade also just emailed a 15% off when I joined their site... too many discounts out there! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to purchase your "claire" dress. I went to my store this AM and tried it on in a blue color. LOVED IT!I limited myself to one, but knowing my Mickey card expires in approx. 96 hours...I may go back for another. When I saw you had it paired with the ATL cardi-I was sold! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove that outfit! I never thought to pair that tee with brown, and I have both of those items! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI went into AT Loft today, after school, but forgot that the 30% doesn't start until tomorrow! pooh! But, i must go back. I really liked their cardi's-----and for such a good price. I want one in the brown (although, this one is a little darker than the JC "desert brown" wouldn't you think??) and i want one in white!
ReplyDeletePam - I tried on that aqua blue and loved it... had the hardest time deciding between it and the Papaya - the Papaya was just a little better with my skin tone. I love this dress but I couldn't let myself get three! I am staying away from all J Crews and letting my Red Card quietly expire now :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Katy & Lou Lou :)
mrs.a did you get the F&F email? I think it said to print out but they may just do 30% off the whole store for everyone tomorrow. In the past, I've gotten a "special" 20% postcard, forgot it, drove back home to get it, and then they had the whole store marked down 20% anyway! Let me know if you need the email - you can email me directly through my profile and I'd be happy to forward it to you. Oh and yes, AT Loft's brown is definitely darker. J Crew's is almost a pinky-brown, sort of softer, more faded looking if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did get the AT Loft email, so I do have the coupon. I am not sure if i like the darker brown cardi, or JC's version, which like you said, is lighter. Regardless--a brown cardi is in order!!
ReplyDeleteOutfit looks great. Looking forward to all your upcoming posts!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi! :)
