**update: thank you to mrs.anketell for letting me know they are the Mady Ballet Flat and are shown online here. They are available in the gold I've shown below, as well as pewter, black and red.**
They are missing the tassles, but otherwise -- wow -- these are quite a similar style to my gold Tory Burch Reese flats! I spotted them at Target on Friday. I don't see them online yet and can't recall the name but it started with an M -- Maya? Myra? Something like that... I'm heading to Target again today so I'll check and update later.

OMgosh!! This is too funny. I guess great minds think alike. I was just in Target two days ago--and saw these shoes and instantly thought "wow, these are so similar to TB flats!" I bought the gold pair. They are called the Merona "Mady" flats, and I do see them online, if you look under new arrivals. They were $19.99 and I do go up a size in them, to fit more comfy. I LOVE THEM and cannot wait to wear them when it gets warm:) I may get the black pair, too!!
ReplyDeleteI went up 1/2 a size, in these. I normally take a 8.5 and I got the size 9 instead.
ReplyDeleteI adore those TB flats! love the tassles...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post!! They are so pretty..I will have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteI picked up a pair at Target last week. They feel kinda cardboard-ish until you slip them on. Then they're so comfy. And cute!
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Target and thought about the TBs!! I may have to pick these up! Have a wonderful weekend, lady!
ReplyDeleteYes, i agree with Phyllis, they "feel" kinda cardboard-ish but once you have them on, they are SO comfy and CUTE!
ReplyDeleteWhat is your experience with Target shoes? I got a pair at my Target this week that are total copies of a Frye flat. They were $5 so I figured I should at least bring them home and think about it. They are stiff and I wonder if they will break in?
ReplyDeleteOh, I also went up a half size in this shoe. I usually wear an 8, but got an 8.5.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phyllis and mrs.a for sharing sizing help!
ReplyDeleteKristin - from mrs.anketell's and Phyllis' comments, it sounds like this particular pair is comfy when worn but you need to size up half a size. I don't have these but I do have other pairs and have found it varies quite a bit. I have a suede raspberry pair that are very soft and comfortable and a snake print pair from a year or two ago that still just are stiff and don't feel great on. If your Frye copy is leather, I would think it would give and stretch a little over time. If they are synthetic they probably won't.
I tried these on in store and did not love the elastic - maybe, based on the comments above, I need to size up. will try that next time I'm trolling for paper towels, scotch tape and hand soap!
