Alright - it's downright chilly out there so I am pulling out my boots and corduroy. This is the Old Navy shirtdress I recently found on promo for $15.00.
I still have that third Las Vegas post coming up, along with a couple of cute Target finds - a cardigan & a dress that I actually wore yesterday - and I am also re-doing our bedroom, so hopefully I can get those posts together within the next few days.
But for now, here's today:
Old Navy Fine Wale Cord Shirtdress in "Wise Owl", black tights, J Crew Brewster boots from last year in black, Marc by Marc Jacobs hobo in "Grape Juice"
Happy Monday!
xoxo
Thanks for the tip on the dress. It looks great on you, and perfect with the tights and boots. The dress went back up to $25 but still a bargain, very cute.
ReplyDeleteIt got chilly where I live today, so I also had to pull out the boots. That dress is great, and the price is even better!
ReplyDeleteI bought the dress this morning with the 15% off and free shipping deal. I wish I had a ON closer to my place. Thank you for first posting about this dress, it really looks great (and comfortable). I can't wait to receive it.
ReplyDeleteGreat fall outfit and the punch of color with the bag is great!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! I've got to hit ON and see if I can find one to try on.
ReplyDeletePerfect outfit. You look great :-)
ReplyDeleteAck, I still need to get there to try it on (I'm worried about it being too short on me). Love the dress on you! Outfit is fab!!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any sizing recommendations?
So cute! I'm going to order that dress - it would look great with a pair of purple tights I just bought!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress!! I went to my local ON and found one for $15. I got the darker brown one. So adorable and perfect with boots. Thank you for your styling tip!! Can't wait to see your Target finds.............:)
ReplyDeletethanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteHeidi - this is a Small - which is what I generally wear at ON. I'm about 5'5" so it is on the shorter side (for me anyway!).
Cute outfit! Love the dress!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! I love your blog and I've been reading awhile now.
ReplyDeleteDo the Brewster boots run true to size or a little big? I want to order some and just hoping to get the right size. Thanks. :)
Thanks NoJCrewinJapan & Shannon!
ReplyDeleteShannon - I almost always wear 8.5 and that is what I got in these. Now that you mention it, I realize they are a little big - there is room in front of my toe and my heel does slip up when I walk. It is a stiffer leather though, so personally I am glad I did not size down - I like a tall boot like this to feel roomy & not at all confining. Hope this helps!
I'm so headed over there tomorrow! I'm thinking with leggings and ballet flats or jeans and my revas! So many ways and therefore so many reasons why I should get this!!! Any other colors?
ReplyDeleteSO adorable! Dang, I wish I'd been into the Crewlade last winter to get those boots!! Do they run TTS (wishful thinking in case I ever see them on eBay)??
ReplyDeleteSweet Tea, I nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger award -- just letting you know! :-) I see below that you received this from another blogger, but I'm hoping you'll enjoy having two -- I HAD to have you on my list! See my blog for more details at http://jcauncmom.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-first-blog-award-and-great-roof-news.html
EntertainingMom - I was just thinking the same thing - leggings & ballet flats. Also belted, with a cardi over, or with a tank under... lots of options. There was black and one or two other colors... maybe purple? and mrs.anketell said she found a dk. brown.
ReplyDeleteJCAUNCMom - Wow! I saw what you wrote in your post and thank you SO much for your kind words!! So, 7 more things?... hmmm... I will work on a post :)
oh and the boots do run a tad big but I am comfortable in my regular size - there is room in front of my toe and my heel slips but with the stiffer leather and tall boot I am more comfortable with these a little big.
Hey everybody. . . this is one case where the lengths vary quite a bit with size. I tried on the xs and the s, and there was 1-2" difference in the length. The way Sweet Tea has it styled, with tights and boots, you can get away with shorter. The Old Navy page shows it pretty short on the model. The sleeves, by the way, are long with a roll-up tab. You can wear them all the way to the wrist or rolled to a variety of lengths.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love how you pair fashion and style with such brilliant bargain finds-- sweet!
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back to look at this dress! lol I think the way you styled it is great.
