OOTD 9.27.09: The Merona Houndstooth Dress

I know it's October but I'm backtracking to Sunday since today I am home with my little first grader who is not feeling well and I am wearing velour Juicy which I know we've all seen before.  

On Sunday, though, I wore a recent Target find - a Merona dress in gray & black houndstooth.  It's done in a nice substantial knit and priced at $24.99.  The tag says Dress Houndstooth/249583.  I can't remember the other colors but there was a solid - maybe in blue? - that I've also seen on a Target commercial.  It's super comfy & stretchy with a rather high waist with some gathers. I need to look for a belt to wear with it.

The IRL pics turned out rather dark and blurry for some reason and I really should have added some jewelry as it all looks so somber with the black cardi but we were running late for church and I just had to snap some pics and run out the door.  I think this would be great with a lavender or dk. pink or red cardi and next time I would definitely add a little color that way or with a purple or yellow bag & a necklace.
