Lessons Learned from Making Panda Cupcakes

Some new things I learned this morning! :

1. If you are cutting oreos in half, they break less if you cut right through across the center of all the letters, rather than cutting down between the letters. (learned after approximately 30 cookies) You wouldn't think this would make a difference, but it did.

2. Black food coloring dyes your hands an unattractive shade of green.

3. Oreo O's cereal has been discontinued and I would have never thought I'd wish it was back, but when covering 36 Cheerios with black frosting this morning, I really wished it was (see 2. above).

4. Even if your cupcakes are far from perfect, the kids will love them anyway.
