A Couple OOTDs {pink coat, blue coat}

With the recent markdown at Nordstrom I picked up another Tulle Alexa coat (love my pink) in a pretty cobalt sort of blue. I've been alternating between the two:

Tulle Alexa Coat in Fuchsia, Petite LOFT Elongated Pencil Skirt in Black, Lands' End sweater, Loft opaque tights, J Crew Brewster boot, Modalu London Pippa in Shark, pearls (bought on a trip to Tokyo years ago)

Tulle Alexa Coat in Cosmic, Loft Petite Cable Cowl Neck Sweater Dress in Brown Melange, Target leggings in black (last year), Tory Burch Revas in black with gold

I haven't gotten around to buying my Benjamin Moore Weimaraner paint yet but I made a really good pumpkin soup the other night. I'll post the recipe in the next week or so.

xoxo

  3. The coats are SO CUTE! I'm also 4/6. Were the Mediums super snug or there's still some room? I don't like things to be too fitted. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Hi!! Thank you,for posting these ootd's:)
    I have the coat, finally, in the pink, and also took a medium and it's perfect. LOVE my coat! First day i wore it, i received so many compliments. You always find such cute things in nordstrom's junior dept!!
    Also, love the LOFT sweaterdress. I tried it on with black tights and black boots and it's super cute...would you wear it with tights? or just leggings? are the leggings you have here thin? just curious. Anyway, love it!!!!!!! And i got during their 50 percent off sweaters deal!!!

  6. LRA - Thanks!! FIrst time I wore the sweater dress with black tights and black boots. This pic is just the regular mid-weight I'd say leggings from Target. Loft site shows it with brown + brown belt. May do that next :)

  10. Hi there! 1st time commenter here, always enjoy the outfits you post.

    How often do you use your Pippa shark? And how do you find it is aging?. I ordered one, but had to return it because the bottom corners were fading white. Modalu sent me a replacement but the new bag appears to be having the same issues. Just wondered how you were finding the quality of the bag.

  11. Canadian Preppy - Hi! I did have issues with my original bag. It turned a pink-tan-taupe color all over. I emailed Modalu and they told me there had been an issue with color change with some of the older bags (I ordered mine right before they were renamed the Pippa and went to preorder) that has now been fixed. After emailing them some pictures, they sent out a second bag (the one in this post). I've carried it probably a dozen times and so far, so good. I did a quick youtube video showing the two bags - my youtube user name is seaandteapnw.

  12. I love the coats too-- such great colors on you! I also love your Revas! I have a beautiful strand of pearls that my mother gave to me (she also got them in Japan!) and I wear them often, but I'm looking to buy myself a slightly longer strand. You are such a sophisticated and savvy shopper-- where would you go to buy pearls in the U.S. (including online)?

  14. Chanel - thanks so much! I really don't know much at all about pearls... aside from some earrings which I've had so long I don't remember where they came from, I only own this string which we bought in Tokyo awhile back. I might be hesitant to buy online because of all the variations/subtle differences in pearls though I'm sure there are some excellent online retailers. Try checking out the forum at www.pearl-guide.com... they seem to have a lot of really good information. :)
