I am really loving a French sailor-inspired striped shirt these days. I've recently purchased at LL Bean, H&M and J Crew. Lands' End also has a nice one - I bought a navy with white from them last year and they have a great little girls' version too.
Here's my OOTD yesterday, and below, the H&M and a J Crew version. I've also added a couple shots of Jean Seberg and Audrey Hepburn in their classic stripes.

I'm obsessed with stripes too, and in the past, it was so hard to find ones with the right fit and the right stripes (I'm not a fan of thin stripes... too dizzying). I've found myself "stocking" up on them for the past year or so. I justify my hoarding with the idea that they might be hard to come by again in a few years.

overcaffeinated - too close stripes make me dizzy too... the H&M one is perfect. There were a couple other colors too. :)

ReplyDeleteJCAUNCMom - I wear an 8.5 in most shoes - Revas, etc - though I'll size up to a 9 in TB sandals. I tried on both 8.5 and 9 in the Tretorns and went with 9. The 8.5 was fine but I wanted a little more room in the toes and because of the laces they don't slip at all. Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteWill be on the look out for some more. So far two: 1 from the loft (Form Oct '10) and another from an Italian chain here called MassimoDuti which has brown suede elbow patches on the sleeves.
