Gap girls sequin graphic tee and rainbow striped hooded cardigan
It's that time again... starting the packing piles. I like to sort things out for our three children and myself by putting together stacks of outfits. (My husband throws some things in a suitcase as we're heading out.) I like to think and plan and I find this process really helpful for editing and bringing just the right things... enough but not too much... and covering all the activities. These piles can stay on the bedroom floor for days and days while I figure it out.
This time though, I learned pretty quickly that I was going to have to speed up the process as this began to happen:
Yep. This guy:
Who, me? |
This is our new kitten Elliott. He's absolutely adorable and we love him. He does, however, view packing piles as a delightful playground for busy kitten adventures. Things had to get sorted quickly.
Like last time, for myself I began with some cardigans and a scarf:

I'll be posting some travel pics and OOTDs this month and next but it may be a while between posts. For more frequent updates, I'll be on Twitter @seaandtea.
Happy Thursday and happy travels if you are vacationing too!

Elliott is adorable! Hope you have a great vacation!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose!
DeleteHave a great vacation! The cat is so cute! Will someone look after him while you're gone or are you taking him with you?
ReplyDeleteThank you! He's staying with some friends :-)
DeleteI love how organized you are with all of your packing. Doesn't it make it so much more enjoyable to go on your trip when you prepare ahead of time? My hubby also likes to pack up at the last minute, but I much prefer to get it all taken care of in advance.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time on your trip! :)
Btw, Elliott is so cute! I bet your kiddos adore him.
Have a fabulous time away.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Elliot...
Chester our new rescue kitten has doubled his weight since we adopted him and is keeping our other cat Pepper amused.
Your children must be having fun playing with Elliot as kittens are so engaging and energetic.
Elliott is super cute! I love his name too :) We have promised our youngest that we'll get a kitten when we move...I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThe Chanel flats are perfect.
Have a lovely vacation! It's hot over here on this side of the country.
Cheers!

Dear Sparrows and Sparkles,
ReplyDeleteyes, that looks very inviting for your cute little cat! As I travel a lot, I am still working out the 'ideal wardrobe' for 4 days travel - but that is not easy when one goes to a place that might be hot, cold or rainy - a normal summer-situation in Europe now, all possible in 4 days... Have a beautiful holiday! Britta
Packing is a true science, especially if you will be traveling by budget airlines (they have the craziest standards for luggage and weight.) This process looks like it would be perfect for editing down later, but may take some of the spontaneity out of a trip.
