My latest J Crew order arrived yesterday (except the bracelet - shipping today), so I am wearing my new Pastiche cardi. I am also really happy with the lavender tank and the dusty shale cardi so those will be featured in OOTDs soon. Since it is such a splashy floral I am keeping everything else very neutral - gray, khaki and brown.
Perfect for a morning spent volunteering (I got to replace rotten apple pieces with fresh ones for 20+ mealworm/beetle habitats in second grade today. I did have a tweezers.) and afternoon running around - school pick-ups, library, dance classes. I hope everyone is having a good week!
J Crew watercolor pastiche cardigan, ON tank in heather gray, ATL Marissa lean boyfriend chino pants in sandy beige, La Scarpa Paris suede ballerina flats in brown, Nordstrom Rack faux pearls - doubled, custom citrine ring, Juicy Couture cupcake earrings, Gucci oversized coin-logo sunglasses
I like the these pearls knotted, too:
Happy Thursday!
xoxo
oh, oh, you look fab! I just love the pastiche!
ReplyDeletePerfect outfit for the days activities. I have the Marissa lean boyfriend chino's too and I love them!!
ReplyDeleteNow that the pastiche print has gone on sale I am having a hard time not buying everything in the print. It really is such a great floral that matched everything. And mealworms, ewww...thank goodness for the tweezers
The colors in that pattern are so pretty! I loved the skirt but felt it was too long and didn't want to deal with alterations. But I'm loving the sweater on you!
ReplyDeleteCute! I love that sweater! I should have grabbed it last week with the extra 20%!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit. The pearls are a perfect compliment to the cardigan!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Love that cardigan, too! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! I saw this cardigan on the sale rack, and was unsure about it, but now seeing it on you, I wish I had tried it on! Perfect OOTD for doing the mom gig in style ;)
ReplyDeleteI got the same cardi in the latest promotion, but I was very unhappy with the way it fit me. It was quite short on me, which was disappointing since I really love it otherwise. I find J Crew cardis to be a tidge shorter than I like, in general, but this one was exceptionally short (and I'm not even that tall). It looks so cute on you! Just out of curiosity, did you size up?
ReplyDeleteLove this cardigan the way you styled it:) I got my jcrew order yesteday, too, and love the tissue garland tank(i think we both got the lavender one) and also received the featherweight long cardigan, which I love:) Can't wait to see you style the other pieces you received!!
ReplyDeletesuper cute outfit:-)
ReplyDeletethanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteDebye - the teacher forgot to tell me about the tweezers at first and I must have made a face because she was like "uhhhh... can you do this?" LOL I had to pick out the dead ones too.
Real Working Mom of OC - I didn't size up - bought my usual Small - I'm about 5'5". I did notice it is a good 2 inches shorter than the other cardi (the dusty shale ruffle front one) in the shipment.
Sweet Tea, Inspired by your photos, I decided to give mine another look. When I wear it entirely unbuttoned, as in your pictures, it's much better, and the shortness bothers me less. I normally wear most of my cardigans partially buttoned, but this one really looks better open. It may end up in my closet after all! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have an eye for putting outfits together. I love the knotted pearls. So cute with everything else. Darling flats, too.
ReplyDeleteI tried your Salsa Verde Turkey Burgers. OMG...delicious. I was seriously eating the aioli with a spoon. I accidentally forgot to put the cheese on the burgers (I know, who could ever forget the cheese. It's the best part!), but they were still very, very good. My family enjoyed them, too. A real keeper! :)
Thanks for posting. I love trying new recipes. :)
You look lovely in the pastiche and I am really liking it with the pearls.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
Real Working Mom of OC - I hope it can work for you - it's such a happy floral in great colors. I agree it's better open :)
ReplyDeleteCool Gal - I am so glad you liked them! They are my favorite. Last summer I made mini-versions on those little slider buns for some family visiting from Demark - they turned out great like that.
Lisa - thank you so much! You too!
Thank you everyone for the kind words! Have a great weekend :) xo
ReplyDeleteTry the Pastiche with Purple underneath--I have pics on my blog--it rocks with the PURPLE!
ReplyDeleteLove your knotted pearls girl!
yogagirl - thanks & thanks for the recommendation!
