Moor, Please!

I just got my OPI Espana Collection "Give Me Moor" mani/pedi and am feeling so Fall!  

When my 4 yr old saw it he said "Black?!" but then upon closer inspection said "Oh! It's Lollipop Dark Purple!"  Why, yes, it is!

I tried to position my hand like HeidiG and other nail polish aficionadas - it was difficult! not sure if this is the pose

toes too, of course!

Anyone else switching over to Fall colors and have a recommendation or two??

Cheapie Boyfriend Jeans Two Ways {And My New Fall Lipwear Arrived!}

So I'm a little late to the boyfriend trend, although I'm pretty sure I remember wearing jeans like this sometime in the 90's.  Anyway, on Monday I was shopping Nordstrom Rack with my mom. (My brother's car window was just smashed and his suitcase stolen in NY where he is visiting and they got lots of good stuff including his clothes so my mom wanted to find some things for him.)  While we were there I noticed a rack of Vigoss boyfriend jeans... they pretty much look like most of the boyfriend jeans out there - distressed, rolled cuffs - but were priced under $30.  So I picked up a pair.  I like that where they are cuffed is tapered so it is a nice neat cuff and I don't have to "fold and roll".  I wore them yesterday, pairing them with a couple different jacket/shoe combos for errands/shopping and then dinner out.

Also - a little box from Korres arrived yesterday and I'm delighted!  

I am trying to fit in my first Fall mani/pedi (OPI Give Me Moor - my little bottle is ready and waiting) so I have also been thinking about some darker colors for my lips.  I ordered: 

Mango Lip Butter Lipstick in Natural Brown #36.  On my computer screen, this color looks horrible - I would never have ordered it without seeing it in person. IRL it is lovely... a very natural, soft, everyday color.  I also ordered this in Naked Rose for my mom because she likes pinks, saw it and really liked the shade.  It is very pretty.

Guava Lipstick in Wine Red.  This is in a thinner tube.  It feels a little less moisturizing than the super-soft Mango Butter lipstick but still glides on smoothly & feels great.  It has a more intense, pigmented color.  

Cherry Lip Gloss in Plum #27.  My 4th shade in this formula - I obviously love it.  Adds a nice plummy shine over lipstick or alone.

I also ordered my second tube of the Face Primer.  I love that it is silicone-free.  Korres also let me choose 3 samples with my order so I'll be trying out the Body Butter Guava, Wild Rose Mask, and Yoghurt Cream Moisturizing Cream soon.

Milly for Clinique! {Oh, and I Survived Ten Hours at the Mall of America.}

Ten hours.  With three children, my husband, and my parents.  It was a long day.  But when you consider that there is a 7 acre amusement park in the center of this mall, loads of dining and snacking options, and more stores than I could visit in a weekend - it was pretty fun. Hubby even took the kids to play putt putt up on the third floor and I got some shopping time with just my mom.

We got to visit both floors (a couple of times each) of the American Girl store, I checked out a huge - I mean huge - DSW (no purchases), perused some amazing Balenciaga bags  That orange ("mandarine") is a  GORGEOUS color, and had fun shopping crewcuts with my 6 yr old (I couldn't find sizes in two of the new arrivals I was interested in and I was a little miffed there was *no* adult sale section at J Crew - and on labor day weekend).

At Bloomingdales, I came across this lovely Milly for Clinique gift with purchase.  Reminds me of the Trina Turk gwp from Nordstrom not long ago.  Conveniently, my foundation was running low!  I love this printed bag - and the products are very nice too.  The only one I'm not sure I'll try is the lipgloss with the chemical sunscreens.  I am really attached to all my natural Korres lipwear. (The website says this promo is not available in Florida or Atlanta stores.)

And here is a snap of Hubs with my 4 yr old and 7 yr old - finally arrived at the Seattle airport!  My son, bless his heart, slept the entire flight from Minneapolis - but he always seems to get tired walking through airports.  This is his new method of transportation.

This was Friday evening - such a fun family wedding! Today we spent (I can't believe this) ten hours at the Mall of America.  Exhausting!  Flying back to Seattle tomorrow.  I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Sharing A Show Home {& Hello From Minnesota!}

First off, we made it in late last night, slept great, had a nice breakfast, and now the kids are splashing around happily in the hotel pool with my Hubby while I catch up on my blogs and twitter pals poolside! A great start to the day.

Browsing through my pics, I found several of a "green" show house that we toured while in Georgia recently. We've been sprucing up our nearly-3-year-old home recently and I am gathering ideas for fixing up our bedroom & master bath. I love getting ideas from decorated models so thought I'd share some of my snaps. Happy Friday everyone!

So I have a crazy busy morning and then we are flying out to Minneapolis this afternoon (please, hotel, have Bravo TV!!).  We are going to my cousin's wedding and will be seeing lots of extended family (some of whom I haven't seen since 2001... some little ones I've never met... and of course my children will be meeting lots of family for the first time as my oldest was born in Fall of 2001!) 

I'll be taking along my mac and camera of course... hoping for a little trip to Mall of America.  My mom told me there is something at J Crew she needs to get... ummm... I think I'll join her! :)
