Wisdom from a Starbucks Coffee Cup

This has got to be one of my favorite quotes now:

The Way I See It #27

Do not kiss your children
so they will kiss you back
but so they will kiss their children,
and their children's children.

More than coffee...

Gosh, I love being a mom. This a conversation I had yesterday:

My 3 yr old: I love you more than ice cream.

Me: I love you more than ice cream too.

My 5 yr old: Do you love him more than coffee?

Me: Yes. I love him more than coffee.

My 3 yr old: **GASP** YOU LOVE ME MORE THAN COFFEE?!?!?! *runs and hugs my waist and does not let go*

So this darling boy, this amazing, miraculous gift from God, who, along with his sisters, is one of the brightest lights of my life? The one that I hug and say I love a million times a day? It made his day to know that he ranks above coffee. Who knew. And now I have another way to tell my kids I love them.

This little boy on his wonderful Daddy's shoulders? I love him more than coffee.

Coffee + Anthropologie = Good Morning!

OK, since I usually list "coffee" as one of my top likes or interests, I think it deserves a post. I *love* my morning coffee. I *really* look forward to waking up and that first perfect cup. It is usually followed by two or three more if I'm at home; occasionally by a Starbucks grande nonfat caramel macchiato or vanilla latte if I'm headed out. On Saturdays, make that a venti from the drive through on my way to shop or run errands.

So, here is a picture of my morning Tully's 100% organic Compadre Blend (I like Tony's too) with a little 1%, in one of my fabulous Anthropologie Butterfly Study Mugs. It makes me happy. Good Morning!
