Pink and Green {emphasis on the Green}

I'm making more of an effort these days to reduce the number of plastic and paper bags that make it into our home and Lilly Pulitzer is making it easy with their sturdy, nicely sized, adorably-printed market bags. I recently ordered both the Creme Fraiche and Queen of Green prints from The Preppy Princess (great customer service and darling packaging):

OOTD 12.6.09: The LP Blayney Dress

Here is what I wore to the Nutcracker on Sunday. I absolutely love this dress.  I tried it on when we were in Florida in August but waited and scored it on sale from Splash of Pink (reg $258.00, bought it for $149.00, and - get this - it is now only $99.00!). (ummm I may have actually just ordered it in the Dahlia Pink La La La Lilly print too!)  I took a 4 - the size I normally buy in J Crew dresses. The fit is comfy, it's a lovely 100% silk knit, and the print (Master of the House) is too fun.  My girls had fun looking for the hidden animals.

I received the lovliest package today!

Recently I won Mommy Pastrami's blog giveaway and I just have to share a couple of pics of what I received today!  My 7 yr old daughter said the Lilly wristlet is the "adorable-est" purse ever.  I am going to enjoy this so much.  Thank you, thank you Mommy Pastrami!

First Lilly Fall Try-Ons {+ Two OODs}

Well, I ran into a small Lilly section at Dillards in Panama City Beach.  They didn't have everything I wanted to try on, but I gave a couple Fall dresses a try.  I'm still thinking on these and interested in getting to a store with a larger selection now that we are back in Atlanta and will have a little time.  Here are a couple close-ups of the necklines (my favorite part) of two dresses from the new collection:

I also came across these cute little candle/perfume sets decorated with a mini Lilly shift.  Cute, cute, cute.  The shift is labeled "not a toy" but they sure looked like they might fit a Barbie.  At any rate, my daughters would love one or two of these sweet little shifts to put on a doll.

... and a Little Lilly for My Coffee

Well, I do love my coffee.  So when it isn't coming from Starbucks or a little coffee place, it really deserves a cute cup, don't you think?  I love coffee cups and travel mugs and am seriously trying not to start a sizeable collection - but I didn't have any Lilly at all for my coffee... Preppy Princess to the rescue!

Just look at this packaging!  I mean, this was just a small order and the attention to detail is impressive (my little girls thought someone had sent them gifts).  More pink and green - I can't stand it! :)

OOD 7.30.09 - Breezy Dandelions

I actually made a bit of an effort today!  Well... it really wasn't an effort.   I stepped into my closet looking for an easy, lightweight dress (have I mentioned it's hot here lately?!) and staring me right in the face was my new Lilly Pulitzer Brie Dress in "Dandelion Clouds of White": Happy, sunshiney, linen-y, with little holes in the detailing at the waist and neckline.  Perfect.  Even thought it is lined, it is loose and swingy & cut nicely to feel breezy and cool.  I got so many compliments on it today and was even asked if it was vintage!  I kind of want it in pink now too.

While transferring the pics to my computer, I came across a snap of the pink Target dress I blogged on a little while ago - wore it out to a casual weeknight dinner and loved it - so I've included that below.  Thank you to melissamolasses who let me know there is a cami in this same print online.  I haven't seen it in-store.

I just ordered four Lilly Pulitzer dresses and two pairs of Lilly shoes for my little girls for around just $200.00!  And - a free ship code is on their home page.  I had just ordered a dress for myself last week but it is now sold out so I don't feel bad about missing out on the extra 25 - it was still a fabulous bargain!

My Girls' First Lilly Shifts!

I just ordered my girls their very first Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses! I was having trouble resisting the pink giraffe print with the cutie pie green trim at a marked-down price... so when CWD Kids sent me a free shipping code (CFWLV2 - good today only!) - I had to order. So I have a couple of these little lovelies on their way for my little lovelies! Yay! Now I just need to find a green polo and some white shorts for their little brother and we will all be feeling summer! :)
