Loft Shopping {+ I Painted}

The image of treading water comes to mind when I think about my days lately.... getting ready for Christmas and visitors, and extra activities on top of all the usual for children, home and office... It's fun and happy, but it feels a little overwhelming at times. I did recently make time for some quick sale shopping at Loft, and spent an afternoon finally getting the study painted:

OOTE 2.7.11 {featuring J Crew Factory}

Happy Tuesday! Here's last night for dinner out, wearing the Palmera Cami in "soft dove" from my recent Factory sale order. I really like the layered loops on this - a departure from ruffles and rosettes, but still a little fluffy and fun. The leopard print is done in a soft blue-gray. Nice combo.

OOTD 12.30.10 {darks + tan + Thrill of Brazil}

My outfit today is dark, dark, dark but I've added my new Royal Tan Revas (purchased with the $50 gift card Tory Burch sent for the holidays, thank you very much Tory Burch!) and I have on the cheery OPI color Thrill of Brazil, fingers and toes.

Two LOFT F&F Buys {Sequin Tee + Faux Fur Trimmed Vest}

I wore this outfit this weekend when we took our three little ones to a children's play and then an early dinner out. The Sequin Slub Tee is a recent Loft Friends & Family purchase... the only other thing I bought on the promo was the Faux Fur Trimmed Vest. Pic of that toward the end of the post.

And here is the Faux Fur Trimmed Vest... I've actually worn it twice already and the second time wore it belted with a navy long sleeved tee under... I really prefer it belted (which is how they have shown it on the Loft website). Here I just have it on with a gray tee from Old Navy and jeans:

OOTD 9.16.10 {featuring Loft's promo'd cardi}

{first off - one of my current fav polishes: OPI's "You Don't Know Jacques" - it's a little grayer and darker IRL than it looks on my screen in this pic}

The cardigan I'm wearing is currently promo'd at Loft for $25 (from a regular price of $49.50). This is a great basic cardi -- I also have it in charcoal and a lighter lilac color. The mosaic top has a banded hem with elastic at the back only.

I love these V-neck cardis from LOFT's recent rollout -- bought two other colors as well. Today I'm wearing the Pale Violet. I didn't do a great job of photographing the buttons but they are fabric covered and match the sweater.

LOFT Friends & Family Order

Yesterday I got up bright and early before everyone woke up to get in my LOFT Friends and Family order (30% off with code FRIENDS... shipping is automatically free on orders of $100 and up, and if you go through ebates you can get 3% cash back).

I saw the short sleeve pleat neck sweater and long sleeve v-neck cardigans in store a couple weeks ago and really liked both. The cardigans are great basics that I know will get a lot of wear (finally found a charcoal cardi!). I first saw the twisted neck tank in Autumn Yellow on Debye at Modestly Styled, Modestly Me and couldn't wait to check out in store... the style and color are every bit as great IRL as they look.

Since I probably won't be able to get to a store during the sale, I ordered online and my items aren't due to arrive until mid-August. I'll try to put up some IRLs then, but for now, here's what I have on the way:
