OOD 6.12.09: New ATL Dress {+ another cute wine label}

So yesterday I found some great things at ATL:  Two dresses, a tiered skirt, and a great pair of capris.  I also ordered three pairs of shoes from endless.com (including the gold SM Seeris in this set) which are due to arrive today... so lots of reviews and IRLs coming up in the next day or two.

But for now, here's the first dress...  it's called the "Streaming Tie Dye Sleeveless Dress" and is super comfy and fun, and I love it on.  It is priced at $49.50 but ATL is currently running a promotion on some of its knit dresses - so it was $29.50 - less 20% from a mailer coupon I had... so a very good deal!  It is also available in yellow, and the same deals are running online.

...and a pic of the cute-labeled Cupcake chardonnay Hubby brought home for me the other night!  It matches my new dress.

Happy Friday!

Target Tee Sale { + earrings and a book}

I purchased a couple of Target's double layer knits last weekend, and while in today for a couple items, noticed they were marked down to $8! (got a price adjustment, of course... just $4, but, hey, that's a latte) These double layer tees and tanks are so soft & smooth and have just the combination of thickness and stretch that I was looking for. (not sheer!) The shirring detail on the tank is nice and the ballet neck tee makes me think Audrey's era.

I also picked up a slubby Merona black V neck for $7 (regularly $10.99) and today found that the basic slightly fitted tees are on sale for $6 so purchased the very last small V-neck in white and a crew. I'm hoping for replens on that V.

I also wanted to share these great earrings priced at $5.99 - I love the aged gold look - goes well with the stretch bracelet I blogged on a while back.

And I'm almost done with Chasing Harry Winston... so picked up another fun beach read:

Happy Wednesday!

OOD 6.9.09: Rolling Ruffles + Swarovski Sparkles

Stuart Weitzman "Iceage" jellies, OPI "Tropical Punch" polish

J Crew Rolling Ruffles Tank & Tissue Cardi in Warm Blush

100% J Crew Outlet Outfit {featuring Fiji Floral}

It is a crazy busy time of year... a whirlwind trip to the other coast followed immediately by a weekend of dance recitals, then a weekend with a school fundraiser, piano recital, and throwing a Panda party - and now being in the midst of fitting in appointments, parties, playdates, end-of-year activities and planning summer camps and travel - has left me sadly behind on any kind of shopping or fashion blogging.

I have some cute Target finds to share but haven't taken pics yet so today I just have this IRL of a polyvore I made last week, featuring the J Crew outlet Fiji Floral skirt:

Happy Tuesday! Bright and sunny out there, yay!

Everything is from the outlet: Fiji Floral skirt, Jackie in Gray, Ruffle Tank in White, Skinny Belt in Yellow

Lessons Learned from Making Panda Cupcakes

Some new things I learned this morning! :

1. If you are cutting oreos in half, they break less if you cut right through across the center of all the letters, rather than cutting down between the letters. (learned after approximately 30 cookies) You wouldn't think this would make a difference, but it did.

2. Black food coloring dyes your hands an unattractive shade of green.

3. Oreo O's cereal has been discontinued and I would have never thought I'd wish it was back, but when covering 36 Cheerios with black frosting this morning, I really wished it was (see 2. above).

4. Even if your cupcakes are far from perfect, the kids will love them anyway.

OOD 6.4.09: Madras + Navy

Still hot and sunny, and chaperoning first graders at an all-day zoo field trip today!

So I'm keeping cool with my Target madras skirt (By the way I saw these on the clearance rounders on Saturday for I think under $10... I can't remember the exact price but it was a good discount.  I think I paid $24 or so??) and the J Crew outlet ruffle tee in navy.  I actually think I like the outlet version better than the regular!  It is a more slubby material, the ruffles stand up beautifully and it is more fitted - seems like it will hold its shape better but time will tell!

I've also got on my dk. pink Target flower slides - the ones that resemble Borns... super comfy.

Happy Thursday!
