J Crew Delivery Day!

My last two Red Phone orders from the Wild Days of the Mickey Card arrived today!

I will start with the Linen Getaway Skirt, Item 15615.  Love the color (Fresh Melon), love the linen, love the casual styling... so in theory... I should love it.  In reality... um no, this one's not for me.  It is very short and when I tried it on in the mirror it just looked wide and short.  It's also rather sheer.  Tres uncomfortable for this mom!  I absolutely could not picture myself walking across the school campus to pick up my Kindergartener and First Grader in it.  It would definitely be suitable over a swimsuit but I do not lounge by a pool enough to even justify the RCP (red card price) of $33.00 (now $44.00).  I can't keep it.  If it were just a little longer... So sadly, this is going back.  The color truly is beautiful though, and I love it with the gray (I bought it to wear with the tissue ruffle tee that was also delivered today) so I will be keeping a look-out for something else in this color.

Next up, the Tissue Ruffle V Neck Tee in Heather Cloud.  Love, and knew I would.  I have this in the pink color and this is just the same - lovely and versatile.  Can't wait to get it working in my wardrobe.

Third and last, the Cate.  Ah, lovely Cate!  In Soft Seashell... I know many of you have a pair and I have admired them from afar.  Now, at last I have my very own and can't wait to wear them!  I wear an 8 1/2 and found these to be TTS.

Le Cinq is Confirmed!

My Hubby just forwarded our email confirmation for dinner at Le Cinq at George V in July!!! So excited! Time to start planning an outfit... only two months away afterall...

They also mentioned at the bottom of the email to "ask about their Rolls Royce Phantom", the only one in the world with "an interior exclusively personalized for us by Hermes"... but I'm guessing we'll be walking! :)

OOD 5.5.09 Pewter + Purple + Pearls

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

It has been pouring buckets of rain all night so doesn't seem very fiesta-like out there!  I don't think I'll be wearing the little silver flops I put in my Polyvore last night... Burberry Rain Shoes, you are still in service!  It's a good thing that I personally think that Burberry plaid goes with anything so I can just put those rain shoes with whatever I'm wearing.

Tuesdays are our really busy day... I work all morning in the office, pick up kids and then we have two or three activities (depending on the week), with my oldest not getting home till about half hour before bedtime.  So I don't think we will be hitting our favorite Mexican Restaurant.  Hopefully I can pull together taco night at home!

Oh, and I got a new F21 super duper deal necklace yesterday I need to post on, stayed tuned!

Hope everyone is feeling festive and has a great day!

OOD 5.4.09 Rose + Brown

Monday again!  Today I am wearing my Rose Cocktail Capris for the first time - love this color, such a pretty neutral - the Desert Brown Jackie and a plain tank.  I love the option of switching out shoes... I don't have the Cates yet (they are on their way!) so it will be some Coach wedges similar to the Polvore.  I think it would work great to do the wedges then Cates for evening, or reverse - Cates for church, wedges for running around in the afternoon.

I have my F21 pink pearl necklace in the Polyvore, but I am thinking of wearing instead just some cute earrings I got from the wonderful bead shop I mentioned on Saturday.  They are just a little bit bigger than the Fireballs so I could call them my Pearly-balls, and, guess what, only $6.00.  Six dollars.  I heart bead stores!

Cute Wine Bottle Label = I'll Try It!

For anyone else with this philosophy (I know you're out there!) I wanted to share this cutie-cute bottle of  Middle Sister "Drama Queen" California Pinot Grigio that I picked up at Target today (about $12).

Usually on the back label, there is a brief description and/or food recommendations, which would guide me in my description... but on this one there is just a paragraph about giant sunglasses, fashion shows, and fundraisers.  Works for me.  And they do donate a dime a bottle to women's charities.

For more info, you can go to www.middlesisterwines.com.  (Super cute site!)

OOD 5.3.09 Chalcedony + White

It's a little chilly out but the sun is shining (hooray!) and I am still feeling beachy from our weekend so I just made up a simple Polyvore of jeans & white (the super comfortable J Crew French Terry Cardigan & an ON tank) and some wonderful blue chalcedony earrings I bought at the cutest bead shop on Saturday.

This little shop was adorable and I am so glad it isn't right around the corner because I would be in there every other day.  They had such an amazing assortment of beads and stones... I would love to make some jewelry for myself but I just really can't fit it into my schedule right now.  Luckily for me, they had quite a few samples around and... (I couldn't believe this)... they were selling all the finished pieces for the price of materials!!  Do all bead stores do this??  So, I bought a lovely necklace, two pairs of earrings, and a gift... all for the price of what the supplies would have been.  Unique, handmade jewelry at really great prices.  Love it.  I kept going around (I was shopping with my sister-in-law) saying:  this would be X $ at J Crew!  This would be X $ at Anthropologie!  It was so fun.  You can bet I won't be just walking past bead stores anymore!

So, my tired little ones (and Hubs) appear to be sleeping through early service this morning.  Today is laundry catch-up, grocery store, and oops... the school fundraiser deadline (that I'm coordinating for my daughter's class) is about two weeks earlier than I thought it was!

Have a great Sunday!

A Little Pretty for Friday

A friend brought these lillies (they are lillies, right?  I am so clueless when it comes to any kind of plant) over last weekend.  They were completely closed and have just opened up beautifully over the week.  Had to snap a couple pics and share.  Happy Friday!
