My outfit today is dark, dark, dark but I've added my new Royal Tan Revas (purchased with the $50 gift card Tory Burch sent for the holidays, thank you very much Tory Burch!) and I have on the cheery OPI color Thrill of Brazil, fingers and toes.

Loft sweater dress in navy, Loft V Neck Cardigan in Dark Grey Melange, Target leggings in black, Tory Burch Tumbled Leather Revas in Royal Tan, Stella & Dot Signature Clover Chandelier Earrings in Silver, Michele watch, DY bracelets

A Couple OOTDs

We had a great Christmas - time is flying! We are still enjoying the break from school and activities and loving having family in town. Much to post but little time... For now, here are a couple recent OOTDs:

Weekend before last, for a museum excursion with the kids, a little shopping and a stop for cappuccino and macarons:

Loft floral top, Sweet Pea cardigan, Joes jeans, Banana Republic Reade moto boot, Stella & Dot Signature Clover Necklace in Gold

Not counting this as an OOTD, but here is Christmas Day, until about noon:

Nick & Nora for Target Flannel Coat Pajama Set in purple, Ugg Coquette Slipper in Chestnut (these run really big if you haven't tried them - I usually wear an 8 1/2 and the 7 is perfect)

Monday for a little more shopping at Pike Place Market and lunch at a favorite French restaurant:

Forth & Towne (remember them?) Gap Edition cardigan in navy with faux fur collar (a few years ago), ON tee in black, Paige denim, J Crew Brewster Boot in black, Gucci Oversized Fade Sunglasses in Shaded Brown/Blue, custom citrine earrings

Hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the holiday season!

My Wish (Dream) List

Okay. There are a lot of pretty things out there this time of year. While of course the best things about Christmas are not things... I can't say I'd be disappointed to find a couple of these under the tree this year!

Here's my dreamy wishlist:

I tried these on twice -- at two different Nordstroms -- and they are perfect. Just perfect. I love the brown/blue combo, size, shape, everything.

anything by Kendra Scott

Le Creuset in Flame
I have a teapot and French oven in this hue and love the pop of color in my kitchen.

Acqua di Parma - the original
I wore this years ago and want to go back. Audrey Hepburn wore it, Cary Grant too.

Korres lipstick in Pink Frost
I've been looking for a pale frosty pink and the Korres mango lipsticks are great. (I don't think that's Pink Frost pictured. It really is pink and frosty.)

My husband gave me one of these for our anniversary this year and my plan is to get two more and wear all three together - one for each of my children.

a pretty iPad case
this one comes in a few great colors - my pick would be yellow, but this green is nice too

Also, Metallic Snake in Gold and Snake Print in Grey (both on sale and sold out in my size)

Stainless Steel Rice Cooker
I don't like our food to touch plastic while cooking - Oyama and Miracle make rice cookers with all stainless interiors.
Pictured is the Oyama CFS-B18U.

This is such a classic everyday bag in the perfect neutral.

Just dreaming here for now. My husband pointed this out for me to try on at Nordstrom the other day. Good job, Hubs - I was surprised! What a lovely structured handbag. The red is a perfect medium hue that could be used as a neutral. Love. Also looks to be gorgeous in Peonia on the N-M site.
...sigh...

Today's Target Find {flannel jammies}

purple night owl

A year or so ago I bought a couple of the Nick & Nora for Target 100% cotton flannel pj sets and they have washed and worn beautifully. I was at Target today and noticed some new prints in that same comfy style. I bought "purple night owl" and "pink monkey bars". These are regularly $24.99 but currently on sale for $17.00.

Christmas Decorating

Here are some snaps from around our house now... my Christmas decorating is done! Gift wrapping and baking -- not so much...

over the kitchen island

I collect these Danish Christmas drops from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl - they make new ones each year

I found this Eiffel Tower at Target this year

our 2010 Nutcracker addition

on the piano

family room mantel

our Elf on the Shelf

yes, Win is in a Santa suit :)

I have a wreath on my car too, which I don't see that often around here. Does anyone else do that?!

One week and counting...

A couple things that caught my eye:

MIL Gift

I'd say it's both easy and difficult to shop for my mother-in-law. Easy because she doesn't really need or want anything and any little candle or tea towel or picture frame will do... difficult because, well, she doesn't really need or want anything and I want to give her something special.

I think one of her favorite gifts is a donation made in her name - (I've used Gifts that Give More). But I also like her to have something for herself and this year had a photo book (I usually use Shutterfly) made up of the trip we took her on to Victoria, BC for her birthday - lots of great pics with the grandchildren.

I wanted to give the wrapping a little something extra and remembered all the gorgeous wrapping cloths/scarves that I saw when we visited Japan. Now, I don't know the proper Japanese wrapping technique for this but I figured something out with a pretty tea towel and some wide ribbon, and then tied on a sweet little ornament that looks very Danish to me. And, here we are:

kitchen towel (printed with teapots) and ribbon from World Market
knit and wooden ornament from Target (it was only $2 - can you believe it?)

I am almost done with Christmas shopping - but I do like seeing other people's lists of picks from all the pretty things out there this time of year. So I'm putting together my (rather extensive) Wish (Dream) List and will post that soon!

OOTD 12.6.10: Green + Gray

Gray seems to be my new favorite neutral... love it with yellow, and wearing today with green instead of my typical white or black tee.

Old Navy toggle-closure capelet, ON tee, Joe's Jeans, Ugg Abbie Clog in Chestnut

...and... almost done with the Christmas decorating around here! I am loving the smell of fresh pine tree in our house.

Happy Monday!
